Let me state - outstanding Italian food! I have grown up in family-owned restaurants and believe that, finally, Exton has a great Italian restaurant. We enjoyed the cheese and charcuterie offering that they offered - I believe that it was very realsonably priced. For entree, we had Eggplant Parm; Limoncello Chicken; Rigatoni w/ Vodka; and Seafood pasta w/ vodka. The portions were way more than expected; the quality very very good. Desserts were the basic Bindi manufactured items - but not bad. The service was awesome! Drinks reasonable. Let me mention one item: the place is croweded and can be unbearable. We had reservations for 8:45pm (on Saturday nite), and my wife and I decided to arrive around 8 and have a few drinks. The bartenders are very attentive, but the place is PACKED! It seems they really tried to fit as many tables as they could in open spaces (much like the West Chester location). I understand the economics of more tables, but there is a point that being comfortable in the bar would be helpful too. I felt sorry for those dining on the high tops in the bar.

My husband and I are fans of the Limoncello in West Chester so we were happy to try this location and were so pleasantly received. The service was prompt and professional. Our waiter was knowledgeable and smiling, he recommended us every step of the way, especially since my husband is vegetarian and I have an allergy to gluten. He recommended the eggplant parm all gluten free and it was AWESOME, the sauce was so fresh and bright and the portion were quite large. My appy was the special: asparagus wrapped in bacon - sooo good! The wine list was decent (yay! They actually had one!) and even the wines by the glass were nice. We had too much food to try dessert but we will come back definitely!!

We've been here for dinner, lunch, and have hosted a private party here and everything each time was outstanding! The food is delicious and the service excellent. The noise is a little on the loud side, but you'll be so involved in your delicious meal you'll hardly notice. They did a fantastic job during our private party and gave each guest (especially the kids) special attention. Wonderful place, just as good if not better than the WC location.

We arrived approximately 6pm on a Friday night. With no reservation, we were told it was a 30 minute wait for a high top table which was fine with us. An hour later, still no table, then suddenly, we were seated in the dining room at one of the 4 tables that I'd seen sitting empty for that hour. We were greeted quickly at our table, and put in our order shortly thereafter. While the food came fairly quickly, we were disappointed with the quality. I had the penne with vodka sauce - pasta was chewy, and the peas in the sauce were mealy. My husband had the rigatoni pescatore, which he said was bland. While we can be forgiving of seating snafus at new places, the food isn't enough of a draw to bring us back.

Just what this area needed! Great for kids. The few times we've been here for dinner I've enjoyed the antipasto for two as an entree. It has a little bit of everything and is MORE than enough. The pastas and sauces all seem fresh. Overall pretty good quality food and attentive and friendly service.

Having read both lunch and dinner experiences, I tried both this week with equally great results. We love the West Chester Limoncello and have waited patiently for the new Chester Springs restaurant to open and also work out the kinks. We were seated quickly, asked which table we would prefer, and promptly greater by our server and a new trainee. Drinks arrived soon, specials of the night explained and a few laughs to boot. The Arancini re minded us of our trip to Sicily...and the Risotto and Gnochi were all perfect. Dessert was a special treat...blown sugar in an apple shape with chocolate mousse or a lemon shaped version with Limoncello mousse. OUTSTANDING. I would give it 5 stars, but I would like to see them do something to reduce the noise level...it is loud, but a very "happening" place. We will be back soon to celebrate out kids birthdays.

I went her for lunch yesterday. I rarely order the buffet anywhere but did so here and it was delicious. Pizza, roasted veggies, ribs, chicken and much more. Nicely decorated place and staff was good. They also have a nice happy hour here with some pretty good drink and food specials.

Quality is just as good as the one in West Chester. Price is really great for the quality and quantity. Some people like it, but I find it a bit noisy. Another big plus is, plenty parking! Update: Just got take out. I ask for fork and knife. The girl told me they don't "provide" them. I must have accidentally look disbelieved cause she told me, they really don't provide them. She even ask me to goto next store to ask for them. Really? Update: Finally they fix the problem. This time I order take out, the girl pleasantly told me utensils are in the bag. I respect them for addressing the issue from our feedback.

They desperately need to train the staff....especially when they publicly embarrass a patron at a table of 8 spending their birthday there. Food was mediocre at best.....will not return!

Terrible meal, good service.. We took our family of 4 tonight for dinner to Lemoncello. I have had many good experiences at their location in West Chester and I was looking forward to adding another one tonight. Number one; We ordered a kids menu pasta which was $8.99. Price was in line with my expectations until the meal was delivered. Roughly 30 penne noodles with out any butter or Parmesan. They gave us butter packets to supplement when I brought up the lack of any dressing. They charged us extra for cups of milk and no sweet treat for the kids included. Number 2; I ordered the special, halibut over risotto. You could tell the piece of fish was excellent. Large and a center fillet cut. This fish was beyond over cooked though. The risotto underneath was glistening with oil like the top of a delicious pizza. Not so delicious when we are talking about risotto though. At least they put a pound of it on my plate. Number 3; My wife is running a half marathon tmrw and wanted a carb load. She ordered the potato gnocchi. Heavy balls of lead in an oily drizzle came to the table. She was a much more tolerant and did not send hers back. Instead she offered to share with me. She was doing me no favors. Bland and glistening. The bright spot for me was the seasonal stout that I ordered. Guinness... They couldn't screw up that classic. One may say that the seasonal stout offered was, routine, lazy, a waste of the local brew culture in PA. Not me. I found that the black gold was the only reason i didn't walk out half way through. Everyone has an off night I guess.. Not often are the words "never again" uttered by my wife and me but tonight it was deserved.

We have been here several times most recently the other night. I think the service ranges and it averages 3.5-4 stars overall as far as atmosphere, menu selection, and the ambiance. As for the food, I don't think it is anything exceptional in the category of Italian food. The price is a category of $$$ and when I factor that in, this brings the rating to 3 stars from my viewpoint. There are many other choices for Italian that offer better value. On the flip side, the aesthetics and atmosphere here are pretty 1st class. In summary, this is a great place to bring friends or even enjoy a New Year's Eve dinner like we have. I would not say this is a place that I would frequent on a weekday or for casual/spontaneous dining. Again, in fairness to lemon I don't think that is their target market. I am glad they came to the neighborhood and offer up this niche option for us.

It has been my pleasure to dine at Limoncello in Chester Springs; as well as, West Chester. The food is not only wonderful it is old world Italian. It is the kind of food you would expect to find in Italy. The family who owns Limoncello could not be more sincere when they say "once you have a reservation with Limoncello ... you will always have a table." Their staff is very professional, they remember you and make you feel like family. It is always a treat going to Limoncello. Grazie!

My last visit here was fantastic, from the bartenders, hostesses, waiters and our meal. Also a perfect happy hour spot! We had a large party of 13 for a Christmas event and they were easily able to accommodate us. Some of us arrived early to hang out at the bar for happy hour which is from 4:30-6:30. They have $3 select draft and bottle beers, also specialty cocktails and martinis that range from 7$-9$. I went with a draft of Allagash White and for $3 you can't beat the price. They also have a special happy hour menu which includes $5-7 pizza and salads among other items from their regular menu. The bar was packed but the bartenders were always checking on us and super friendly. Our tables were ready and we could sit whenever we wanted which was nice while waiting for all members of our party to arrive. Once we were all seated we were given bread and complimentary bruschetta as a starter. Those in my party also started with a soup or salad. I recommend the Cesar salad or tortellini soup. For my entree I went with the upside down pizza. It was the cheese first then sauce on top and delicious. If you are a seafood fan they have many pasta entrees with seafood including a vodka sauce pasta dish with shrimp. We skipped dessert since we were so full but they bring out complimentary Limoncello shots! I great place for a large party or family gathering.

We had lunch today at Limoncellos. Two salads, an appetizer and basket of bread. Everything was excellent. We've eaten here at least a dozen times and the food has always been great. The service is what it is....However, I haven't been disappointed on any of our trips to this restaurant and we do dine out regularly. I'm an excellent cook and prepare meals frequently, so take my opinion for what it's worth. Limoncellos is a prime place to wine, dine and chill out.

Went to Limoncello several times, always had a good lunch. The last time we went, we were seated right away, buy then ignored for over 15 minutes while others were served around us. Wait staff just stood around, so we just got up and left, the hostess saw us and said nothing. Won't be going back anymore.

Another great dining experience at Limoncello Chester Springs! We had reservations for 5:30 and were promptly seated. That's not because it was empty, no it was packed, but the staff is on top of their game. Our server Erin did a great job the entire night. The meatball appetizer is nothing short of amazing!! They melt in your mouth, have great flavor and would give Grandmoms a run for her money. My meal was chicken parm, which I get every time I go here. The portion is huge! Like hubcap huge! It's the best chicken parm around as far as I'm concerned. The only problem I have is trying to figure out when I can go back.

I didn't read YELP reviews until after we came home from dinner.. which is probably good, because the reviews seemed to adequately describe what was going on inside Limoncello, especially at the packed, loud bar.. We made last minute reservations on Open Table though, and were greeted by two very pleasant hostesses, asked if we wanted a table inside or out ( we chose outside- perfect weather- awesome), served by Beth, who was excellent, and took advantage of the Happy Hour menu, which we knew to ask for. The only downside is Happy Hour ends at 6:30, so you have to get your order in by then.. Drinks and food are all reduced by a few dollars per, so even though our food was probably a 3-star, the perfect alfresco patio table, the friendly staff and the Happy Hour menu with its diverse food and cocktail choices at a significant savings made this a four star experience in my book.. One thing I did notice is tables for two both inside and out did seem very close together. Literally separated in some cases by less than a foot. We were in a bigger dining party, but I can see how annoying that would be for a twosome and would ask for a table where you can have a "private conversation", unless of course you despise your dinner companion and view strangers simply as "friends you haven't met yet"!

Amazing food, courteous waitstaff. I am always weary of super-hyped places (and being disappointed) and seeing as I'd heard such positive reviews, I went in as a skeptic. This has easily turned into our favorite place. We had a reservation and were seated quickly. Our server was everything you'd want your server to be. She was friendly, knew the menu and was extremely efficient. The food was simply fantastic. All four of us insisted that our meal was the best of everyone else's at the table, just because each of our meals was so good. The portion sizes are large and the pricing is extremely reasonable. The only criticism I have is that the hosting station was extremely disorganized and uncommunicative. I suspect that training in this new location will resolve that issue. For example, I gave my name of the reservation and the response was "Ok". I had to ask "So should we sit and wait to be seated or will we be seated now?" Seeing how busy it was, I could see how we may have had to wait but we received no instruction. I also saw that there was a coat check and with coats in hand, had to ask about the coat check and how we could go about getting them checked. However, these issues were minor in comparison to the rest of the experience. Editing initial review: Went again. Hosting station was still horrible. Disorganized and uncommunicative. Taking away a star as a result. This is the face of your restaurant.

We had a party of 6 couples and were told they could not do separate checks for us. The waitress was adamant that their computer "wouldn't be able to handle it". The food and service were otherwise excellent, but not worth the nightmare that was created when trying to figure out our bill among the six couples. I was not amused when the waitress suggested we just "divide it evenly" among us since I ordered an appetizer for my entree and only one drink. I do this partly because I don't need huge portions and partly to save money. The check we received at the end didn't make doing the math any easier, since some of the items were "in code" AND there was cocktail listed that no one ordered (the waitress took it off the bill, but not until it caused some additional stress trying to figure out who got the "pineapple" drink.....) This is a great restaurant for small parties looking for terrific food and atmosphere, but we will never go there with a large party again.

We were so excited and had high expectations for this place for a celebration dinner for 7. We had a reservation and were seated quickly. Then all the waiting started from the moment we ordered our beverages.. we waited over 50 minutes for our food at which point 5 out of 7 entrees were delivered as we were told there was a "plating delay" in the kitchen. A few minutes later the other 2 entrees arrived but were lukewarm at best. Out of our 7 entrees 3 were lukewarm with one entree actually cool. A big disappointment based on the long wait! The food was tasty (minus the temperature issue). The place needs more work and will probably get another visit from us in a few months when the "kinks" are worked out.

Disappointing Experience Atmosphere was nice, but the food was very disappointing. How can an Italian restaurant which prides itself on good Italian food serve overdone sticky pasta? Sauce tasted like it came from a can. This is clearly unacceptable -- especially if the prices are this high. Wine by the glass for mediocre to average wine was high. If you went with a bottle of wine, compare the price to the actual cost. See for yourself. If you are looking for average food in a chain setting, then this is the place for you. If you like authentic, genuine and fresh Italian food cooked by the chef himself, try the small authentic, quaint wife-husband run restaurant 3 minutes away.

Our first try here was a frustrating experience trying to get a Christmas Eve reservation. I was told they had tables, but asked me to call back--for three days in a row. I guess they wanted to save the reservations for others/ large parties, who knows? We gave up on that and eventually ate here after the holidays. The portions were big, to the point of being off-putting. There's a tipping point on portion size at which a dish feels like it came from an all-you-can-eat buffet. These exceeded that point. The pasta dishes were swimming in sauce, too soupy for me. I had short-rib ravioli in a Marsala sauce. The sauce somehow had raw garlic in it, which was abrasive. The ravioli themselves were fine, but the sauce was tough to get past. It looked like the Calamari Siciliano (sp) was sporting the same tomato/garlic topping as our complimentary bruschetta. Although, it was missing the capers and had one black olive chucked in there. They made a great cocktail and the service was good.

We dined there on a Tuesday night --the place was packed. Our waitress was short-tempered. Service was so so slow - we waited for the longest time for our entrees. Salads are pricey, but easily serves 2 people. I had rigatoni with seafood and vodka sauce. The vodka sauce was yummy, but my pasta was very overcooked and dried out. The shrimp was overcooked & hard to chew. My husband's "eggplant ravioli" was stuffed with mushrooms, but was so tough, he could barely cut it with his knife. For the money, I was disappointed. I've been hearing about this restaurant for so long.. I really wanted to love it. We won't be back.

I expected so much more than average. Although the atmosphere was nice the noise level was so high that you need to be able to read lips if you want to have a conversation. The tables where way way too small to fit everything (I could only put the water *OR* the wine glass on the table at the same time)! The service was ok but they need to pay more attention to the customer and be a little friendlier (some training may be beneficial). The food was good but not memorable. We will give it another try in a few months.

Had lunch today at Limoncello. They have a buffet that is very good. Lots of fresh vegetables, salads, bread, fish, chicken, and pasta. Would have given them 4 stars but there were no desserts at the buffet!

Nice place to visit. Good parking. Not too noisy. Great service. Pleasant. Just wish the food would have a tiny bit of taste. Two of us had "Veal Limoncello" (veal, asparagus, lump crab, linguini) No taste at all. I covered it with grated cheese and salt. Still no taste. Tow of us had "Veal medalions with a brown sauce"....same thing. A lot of hype for a tasteless dinner. The veal was tough and of poor quality for all 4 meals

Had Monday off so we decided to try Limoncello at lunch. After hearing such great things about this place and having a tough time getting reservations for dinner I was expecting much more. We were seated virtually right away but near the door which made it cold. After a wait our server greeted us, took our order then the waiting began. For a basic kids pasta, 2 simple pizzas and a veal entree, it took nearly 40 minutes to bring our food to the table. The prosciutto di Parma pizza had a huge pile of arugula on top. So much that my wife thought it may be a salad. The Margherita pizza was OK. Big pieces of mozzarella cheese but they would fall off whenever you tried to pick it up. Crust on both was awesome, thin and crunchy bottom and the sauce was very good too. I had the Veal Milazzo. Description said veal medallions etc with cappellini. It more like quarters and there were only 2 really small pieces and it was spaghetti not cappellini. Overall the sace was good on the pasta but we were really underwhelmed by the quality of the meal We have committed to trying it during dinner, but for now, needs some work

Have dined at this restaurant 3 times in the past year and our experience has been inconsistent at best. Our latest experience was Saturday Nov 16. Had a 7:00PM reservation but was not seated until 7:50PM. The hostess told us the wait would be 15 to 20 minutes!!! The excuse was guests overstaying the 2 hour the business allowed. Honestly not buying this excuse. While the management did comp drinks and apps gusts need to ask themselves how much confidence they have in the reservation they have been made. We were not the only diners waiting for an exceedingly long time for a table. In the end the food is just not that good to put up with the aggravation. The veal was OK and the pasta was terrible as it was cooked without any seasoning. I'll not be visiting this restaurant again. Future guests beware of the reservation

The decor is warm and contemporary, and the tables are not crowded against each other. Place was packed to the gills on a Saturday night, recommend reservations if you don't want to wait an hour for a table. Service was fantastic, we always had food and drinks on the table. The grilled calamari and short rib ravioli were wonderful, the limoncello chicken was ok, the steak was just ok, and the chicken parm was chewy and pretty tasteless (pasta was good though). Organic carrot cake, cannoli and a hand blown sugar apple stuffed with chocolate mousse to die for awesome. Very nice wine list - and if you like mojitos, they serve it in a regular glass, not a martini glass, so be prepared to stagger out of the restaurant. Overall a great experience, worth the noise and chaos of a crowded restaurant.

We had dinner here this Friday night. It was fantastic. The staff is exceptionally well trained. We never sat with an empty plate or glass for more than a minute. Teams of servers worked together to make sure that tables were quickly taken care of. The food was outstanding. The Arancini was authentic and we have not had a version that good since spending summers in Sicily as a child. The Caesar salad and chicken tortellini soup were both excellent. Portions were large and we couldn't finish everything. For dinner we had stuffed salmon and sachetti and both of them were very flavorful, and very good. Our main waiter was knowledgeable and attentive. It was crowded and a little noisy, but the meal was so good that we didn't mind. We have a new favorite restaurant!

Ok food, definitely not great. Service was good. Don't get the saltimbocca, has no flavor, pasta was over cooked, too much sauce which tasted just bland. Food presentation was very poor, not appealing at all. This is definitely not fine dining. Would not go there again.

My reserved table was not ready and I had to wait an additional 20 minutes. Outdoor seating would have been nice except that all of the outdoor heaters were out of propane. The drinks I ordered were wrong. The only saving grace, and reason this deserves 2 stars and not one is that the food was okay, not great, but okay.

Our visit to this restaurant were as a result of family members enjoying a previous dinner here. The parking lot was packed, so it took awhile to find a parking space. As we entered the restaurant, there were people huddled in the lobby waiting for a table. Luckily, our wait wasn't long because of the reservations we made. As we were seated at a table in the middle of the dining room, I was drawn in by the pleasant ambiance and how nicely the restaurant was decorated. Our server was quick to arrive to take our drink order. They have a fairly extensive drink menu, which took up 6 of the 12-leaf menu, including a decent selection of craft and domestic beers. When the server returned with our drinks, she took our appetizer orders. I ordered the Provolone Stuffed Sweet Sausage. It consisted of roasted baby sweet peppers, broccoli rabe, olive oil and garlic. It was tasty, but the broccoli rabe was very salty, and the sausage were links with provolone strips on the plate on the opposite side of the sausage. The sausage was not stuffed. For the main course, I chose the walnut crusted swordfish over risotto with mushrooms, peas and parmesan. The risotto was cooked way too stiff. You could put it on a spoon, turn the spoon upside down and it wouldn't even fall off. For dessert, I chose the triple chocolate mousse. As a connoisseur of chocolate mousse, I was a bit disappointed when it was delivered. It was not the light, fluffy, chocolaty mousse that comes to mind when I heard it whispering to me from the menu. It was dense and over some kind of cake. While I might have been a bit more-satisfied if I had ordered a traditional italian dish, I didn't feel that the restaurant lived up to the hype.

We had the lunch buffet. For $12, it is a great deal. I was very happy with the range of foods they had available along with the quality. The staff were courteous and knowledgeable. I recall pizza, sausage & peppers, seafood pasta, an assortment of fresh vegetables, and a few other meats. Everything was fresh and served in an appealing presentation.

I am sorry to report that I am greatly disappointed by my latest visit to limoncello. First of all lets address service': we were dealing with kids -- high school type kids -- who clearly were trying hard, but don't get it yet. Not my idea of how service at a restaurant of this caliber should be. I could've overlooked this had the cuisine been up to the bar that I'm used to for Limoncello dining. Honestly I can't tell you there was a single thing above average about the meal - except perhaps the desert. The dishes were over portioned and of relatively low-quality -- very bland regardless of what we ordered. Out of six diners nobody had anything particularly nice to say. To add insult to injury, they added a 20% tip on a party of six !! over six I understand --six and under? that simply a faux pas. And that was twice as generous as they really deserve in this case. In general I've been raving fan of Limoncello's -- and I've eaten here before and had good meals. What happened this evening was just simply an abortion and expensive one at that. I'm afraid I've lost my taste for this version of Limoncello's - will have to see if the West chester one is still as good as I remember . Take a hint guys- your off the rails!

The restaurant has a very good lunch buffet. The buffet items are interesting Italian entrees and not the usual cheap ziti and meatballs that you'll find elsewhere. The lunch buffet price is very fair. Desserts are extra and they are FAB-U-LOUS! The buffet has two nice fresh salads--garlic bread---pizzas--vegetables and about 5 different entrees. The only disappointment is the pizza on the buffet. The crust needs help and it needs more sauce. Waitstaff was very accomodating and friendly.

Just went with a group of coworkers for our yearly "out to lunch date". I was not impressed on the slightest. I had the Arugula salad with grilled chk. Dressing was great and fruit was fresh. Other than that I would label it as "ok". I was semi disappointed since I hear so much great rave about this restaurant. I am not too convinced I will go again.

    (3)
  • Real F.

Just don't get the rave for this place at all. The hostesses didn't even say hello when I walked in the door. I had to say hello first. Sitting in chairs leaning on the host stand. Atmosphere is nice. Well decorated. The food: I had a craving for a classic grilled Veal Chop. Well they have a bone in veal chop for $38 bucks but unfortunately is pounded out to a flattened pancake, breaded and fried. What a waste:( I asked if they ha e one not pounded out that they could grill and unfortunately they did not. I ordered it any way since the only of grilled meat was chicken breast and a filet mignon. Well, I was looking for an Italian meat dish so no other choices. My wife loves risotto so she ordered the special fish Arctic char $35 which came with a crab spiked risotto. Well the risotto was undoubtedly microwaved and was prepared with no flavor whatsoever. No seasoning, No crab meat or flavor to be found. So over cooked it was disgusting. Arctic char was burnt and over cooked as well. Service was decent except the gum chewing is a major no no. But I guess it's acceptable since the manager was literally blowing bubbles with his gum. I asked the waitress what was the best meat dish and she recommended the chicken Parm. Really?? Come on. I didn't come here for a basic dish. I want to be Wowed. Try and upsell to something more exciting. Another complaint is the table spacing is super tight. Not easy having a conversation with your wife when the table next to you is literally 6 inches away. I had to keep my elbows in so I didn't bump into my neighbor. So disappointed in this place and the people who flock here claiming how wonderful the food is. Again, I am concerned we Americans have lost touch with what good food is supposed to be. Pretty sure this place has too many tables and seats and they lost the original vision of serving great italian food. Now they are forced to microwave everything to get it out of the kitchen. Shame shame shame. Won't be back. There are much better Italian restaurants in the area.

Went to Limoncello with friends for dinner. Had a drink at the bar and really liked the new look. My wife asked where they got the wine panels because she wanted them for our kitchen. They really do make it seem like you are having a glass of wine in a wine bar in Siciliy. The colors and various stone urns at all the windows make for a pleasant experience where you don't feel like you are in a strip mall. We had the seafood risotto and veal chop which furthered cemented that we ain't in the burbs. They were excellent. That along wit the excellent service makes this our go to in Chester Springs. Luckily we are in Eagle so Limoncello will be seeing us more often. Refreshing!!!!

The lunch buffet was horrendous. I would have rather went to a franchise buffet restaurant than here. I would describe the food as old people food. Everything lacked seasoning and taste. The selection is small so my hopes of quality were high; but alas I was let down. The ingredients looked good but the actual finished product deserved more care. The reoccurring theme was olive oil drenched food. Maria who ever she is should take her name off of the meatballs. They were dense lumps of under seasoned tasteless meat.

Lunch buffet has gone down hill. Used to be 3.5 stars, with freshly grilled hot vegetables, a range of tasty entrees and nice selection of deserts. Today was a completely different experience - pre-made warmed vegetables, bland entrees including dry meatballs and no included desert. To make it even less appealing, there were several chatting workmen in the buffet room, one even on a cell and another carrying a pail of spackle.

Limoncello has an upscale feel that is easy on the wallet. During the week they offer a lunch buffet that is to die for. They offer salads, pizzas, Stromboli, and let's not for get the hot foods. Usually you can find a pasta dish, fish, and some delightful carnivore creation. For those that are still working on their New Years resolution, there are plenty of fresh and steamed vegetables. If your in or near Chester Springs give Limoncello a whirl.

I booked this place because I was having a celebration dinner with 15 people. I wanted to bring champagne and it's BYOB here sun-tues which is great. When I booked the reservation I told them I wanted to order a few of the event trays and the hostess asked me to call in the morning to order. I called the next day to order and was told I could not order event trays for dining in, only for take out (it doesn't say they are only for take out on the menu). This was disappointing since I was under the impression I had expected to have a nice dinner for my guests. I spoke with Joe, the manager who wasn't helpful and "wasn't allowed to offer any discount" to our party if we ordered individual meals. He even called the owner who also would not give any discount or allow us to order the event trays. (I probably would have changed the location if it weren't the day of the dinner. ) In the end we kept the reservation anyways and it ended up better for me because if I had ordered the event trays I would have paid $200-$300 but since I wasn't allowed I just got a few pizzas and appetizers and the bills was only $80. Still, I am very business minded so it's hard for me to understand why they would prefer us to do this over offering a discount for the party to do a sit down dinner or to allow event trays in house. But at any rate we really enjoyed the restaurant. The food was fantastic and we had GREAT service. When I met the manager Joe, he was very nice and Suzanne and Hilton were very attentive and accommodating. My party all enjoyed Hilton and how nice and personable he was. I would be happy to dine here again.

I made a reservation using Open Table. When we arrived it was crowded but my table was available and we were immediately seated. The waitress was friendly and was able to recite all of the daily specials although there were many. We ordered cocktails and there was limited alcohol in them even when we ordered top shelf. The waitress took our order. My friend ordered the crab cakes from the dinner menu. She was told they were only available in the bar and only until 6:00 and it was now 7:30. I asked the waitress to check with the kitchen so my friend perused the menu for her 2nd choice. The waitress returned after 10 minutes to say the crab cakes were available. I ordered the pescatore el diablo. While we were waiting for our meals bruschetta was delivered to the table and it was excellent. The crab cakes were served with mashed potatoes and arugula. The portion was large and it was done to perfection. The pescatore was outstanding. The tiny lobster tail included was tough and more than likely a crawfish. The sauce was excellent and just spicy enough. All things considered I would return.

We came here for a family lunch on Saturday. We had called a month ahead for a reservation for nine of us and requested a wheel chair accessible table. When we arrived at the restaurant, they gave us a table in the corner that was difficult to access with a wheelchair. No complimentary brushetta as other reviews have mentioned. After ordering, it took about one hour to get our food and they mess up one of the orders, bringing out the wrong food. The food was below average - not much dressing on salads, undercooked eggplant parm, overcooked pasta. It was difficult to get the wheelchair out from the corner table and the wait staff did not help or offer to make room. They only watched and sighed heavily as we tried to get out. Overall - very disappointing. We will not return.

Have dined here twice, our first experience was exceptional. The service and food was great.... The second time, thinking we would have an encore of our previous experience was certainly less than entertaining our sense of taste. Needless to say, we had a special occasion and booked via open table. We were seated rapidly and received our drinks and our food fast. The only problem I had was my dish. I ordered the special, which was halibut.... The outside was seared near perfection, but the inside was partially frozen and raw. Granted, frozen is a good thing from the perspective of food safety, just not my dish when it should have been thoroughly cooked. The explanation I received back from our server was not what I expected to hear back from the kitchen, that was the last piece of halibut and we didn't have time to wait for something else.

Limoncello... The word evokes the taste of the sweet and sour Italian liqueur if the same name... Go figure... But in our area it also conjures up savory thoughts of the wonderful Italian restaurant in West Chester, the older sibling of this establishment. Age before beauty. This second location doesn't live up to the family reputation. After two visits, my advice is, skip it. The food doesn't shine, the service is average, and well. My experiences were so poor I'll keep them to myself. If you want great Italian food, go to the original in West Chester or have an Italian friend invite you to mom's house.

Amazing service, atmosphere and food! We came here for Mother's Day and we were not disappointed. We had the calamari, Limoncello pasta, stuffed salmon, and pizza, all of which were amazing. Delicious cocktails. Fresh food. Great service. Yum, yum, yum! We will be returning!

Went for a date with my boyfriend and had a great time. We requested to sit outside and were seated promptly, unfortunately it was in a corner between a fence and a propane tank. Not the best ambiance. The waitress was very sweet and seemed knowledgable, throughout the night she did a pretty good job. We got a Cesar salad to start and it was brought it right away. I ordered the linguine con polpette and my boyfriend ordered the lobster ravioli. My food was great but my boyfriends lobster tail that was served with his ravioli was extremely tough. For dessert we shared a piece of tiramisu, which was excellent. And of course we had our complimentary limoncello shots. I would definitely go back and recommend to anyone who is up for genuinely authentic Italian food!

This review is specifically about their wedding catering: Limoncellos' catered my wedding last fall and I was blown away by their handling of it. First of all, the food was absolutely delicious. My guests were very pleased with tasty, filling, hearty Italian food as a welcomed changed to typical Wedding fare. But most importantly (I think) the staff was so amazing. On the day of our wedding, I didn't even have a chance to talk to them more than in passing. They showed up on time and immediately got to work. Our venue was a private farm and the facilities weren't what I'm sure Limoncello's was used to (no kitchen in the reception area, for example). But their staff, not to be put out at all, filed back and forth from the main house filling pitcher after pitcher of water. The lead server was unbelievably attentive - he made my wife and I feel so special! Immediately after the ceremony, he had our favorite drinks in hand and personally delivered them to us during photos. All night long, he didn't let our drinks empty. He personally served us from the delicious banquet, and them immediately followed with our parents and guests of honor. I think if he had more hands he would have personally served every guest at the reception! The bartenders were outstanding. My guests couldn't stop commenting on how wonderful they were. I gave them a special bottle of scotch before the ceremony, and pointed out my father - letting them know to give him a glass of it whenever he came up to order (it was a surprise). I was sure my rushed request would... not be ignored, but be lost in the franticness that is the wedding day. It wasn't! My father went up asking for wine instead of scotch, and they playfully kept asking if he was SURE he wanted wine until he relented and asked what was going on. They pulled out the bottle and he was so happy! They continued to bring him drinks for the rest of the night. And when the day was over, I realized how little I saw of the serving staff. The banquet was setup and broken down, my guests were served all night, the dishes were washed and packaged up for my rental company, leftovers were carefully boxed and put in the fridge... and it was all done so smoothly that they were barely noticed. And one more personal touch that was very important to us. My wife's maid of honor has a gluten intolerance. We sent a final email the night before the wedding (read, "4am") and quickly mentioned she had a gluten intolerance and to just please be aware that someone with a wheat allergy will probably be asking about ingredients. She and my wife had talked ahead of time about what items she'd be able to eat, etc. And that is all we thought about it. The day after the wedding, we were apologizing for not being more prepared for her gluten allergy with all the planning and preparation she did, and she surprised us YET AGAIN with another amazing touch from Limoncellos! She said she went up and asked the first caterer behind the buffet counter what all was gluten free, and the waitress said "you must be the bridesmaid, we have a dish just for you, I'll bring it to your table". And the waitress went inside and brought out an ENTIRELY GLUTEN-FREE CHICKEN DINNER from the oven with sides and everything! I did NOT ask them to do that and never expected it!! I can't believe the personal attention they put into our frantic last minute email. Unbelievable service! They never mentioned it, billed for it, or tried to take any credit for this amazingly thoughtful gesture in any way. If we hadn't talked to the bridesmaid we never would have known that it even happened. And I feel it's important to note how well they worked with all the other professionals that were included - I planned the wedding myself and held it at a friends farm - there are a lot of moving parts that need to work well together when you don't have a wedding planner or day-of coordinator. Limoncello's fit right in and did their job. They have gained two customers for life.

We were there yesterday for Happy Hour. Loved our waitress Courtney. Did a great job. My lady had the house Chardonnay and it was fine for the value. I had a vodka tonic and it was ok. The complimentary bruschetta was tasty as was the bread. We ordered only appetizers - crab cakes, roast pork sliders and meat ball parm sliders. Crab cakes were ok. Roast pork slider was ok. Meatball parm was ok. Shot of limoncello was nice touch (complementary) but they need to make their own in house. This place does great on a Friday happy hour. Overall it's just ok. Not great, not terrible. There are better choices for both happy hour and Italian.

Raspberry limoncello martini was YUMMY! Mushroom fondue things were really tasty but not really what I was expecting. The bread is good and love the free bruschetta. Unfortunately my short rib ravioli was just so so. I would probably go back if I'm in the area again though so that's a positive review.

If you are looking for decent Italian food, run don't walk away from this place. Yes, it's very crowded and the restaurant seems to be very popular but that says more about the low standards of people that live in Chester County rather than the quality of this establishment. The food is at best Olive Garden standards with a higher price tag. The pastas we ordered are over cooked and tasted like jar sauce. The risotto was a joke. The veal had no taste with texture of card board. The service was friendly and efficient however.

Enjoyed dinner here a few nights ago but it didn't quite live up to hype that 2 of my family members gave Limoncello. Service was somewhat uneven - our water glasses were constantly refreshed but dirty dishes remained on the table. The window in the front was dirty and had flies on it. Had to wait for the check after we were obviously done eating. My New York strip tasted bland. Waitress was very attentive to the younger members of our party. La Bombe dessert was excellent. I was glad to be able to sit and catch up with family members but the overall experience was just average for me.

It would have been two stars but our waitress and the food were great. I had reservations at 7:30 & we hit there early to have drinks. We checked in and went to the bar where we stood for 10 minutes with barely a glance. One bartender just started putting away the glasses rather than asking us if we would like anything to drink. We ended up just walking away and waited for our table. We were seated promptly and our waitress Micaela made the night better with her service and friendly banter. The food was excellent.

Our party of four ate hear last night and we were all very pleased. We were seated promptly even though we were a few minutes late for our reservation. Our server Dan was very personable and helped make our night enjoyable. We started out with the arancini and meatball appetizers. The Arancini was good but the meatball was excellent, looking forward to having these again. Our entree orders were the chicken and sausage scallopini, fettuccine alfredo, and chicken messina. We were all very pleased with our meals and could not of had a nicer evening. We would recommend this restaurant to our friends and family. Very good.

After dining, the three of us staggered out the door with our ears bleeding. Well perhaps it wasn't quite that bad but the sheer din of the place, when packed to the scuppers as it was during our visit, makes relaxed dining a challenge. Beyond that it was a pleasant enough place. It's quite large and we were seated in something like an alcove near the kitchen -- along with several other diners who were packed in with us at closely spaced tables. Service was irregular. Ordering the meal took some time, but the food arrived quickly. Then we waited almost interminably for the desert menu and desert. The bill was actually proffered before desert arrived. The food was decent but not memorable -- literally, as neither my long suffering spouse nor I can remember what we had. My dinner was some sort of stuffed pasta. It was good, but almost uncomfortably rich. Desert was disappointing. The tiramisu was not at all good. Still, the price was decent. I would return if I could be assured of a quiet seat and a bit of elbow room.

Have been here several times since my review from two years ago and tonight was my first bad experience. 1. We get seated and its 10 mins until we see the waitress. To be fare another staff member brought us water and bread 2. Took over 30 minutes to see our entrees. At about the 20 minute mark the waitress tells us our order will be out shortly. 3. Entrees were great 4. We order desert and that takes 15 minutes. My wife ordered the lemon cake which at our past visits was served warm, this time it was room temp at best. Not sure if it was the kitchen, the waitress or both but if this was our first time there we certainly would not return. They also probably need to pay attention to the decor as one of the two bulbs in the wall sconce by our table was out, some of the trim work was dirty as were the lower walls. The upper walls looked like they were painted by an amateur. Maybe I've watched too much Restaurant Impossible but they really need to pay attentions to these details.

My husband and I have not had a night out in a long time alone and we were very eager to have a great meal. Unfortunately that was not the case. First, my husband's 15year McCallen was in a dirty glass... Next his knife was covered in food obviously from the previous guest. I work in the industry and understand that these things happen by mistake. To follow his dinner which was a 35$ special was extremely bland (ribeye) and the side of asparagus he ordered was not prepared how it was described on the menu. Our night out cost 121$ and our experience was not worth 121$. We could have gone to Friday's, spent half that amount and could have been extremely satisfied. I will never return to this restaurant nor would I suggest it to anyone. We were both extremely disappointed. Also the restaurant is very crammed. We didn't even have room on our table for our drinks and dinners. I don't blame the server we had, just the laziness of management not following through with the cleanliness of the restaurant. This could have easily been handled by a manager visit to the table. Eye contact was even made with the manager and he still didn't stop over to even see how our meal was. I'm so disappointed. Don't waste your time or money!!!!!

This location is ok, but I think the West Chester restaurant has better food. Service was great, but Calamari salad was disappointing. The calamari were rubbery and not hot when the salad came out, and dressing was on the heavy side. The sausage , peppers and onions sandwich cam on a very good housemade roll. However , someone put some king of aioli sauce on the bread instead of "gravy" like I 'm used to. The sausage was ok, but lacked taste. Maybe it's my imagination , but I think the W. Chester location does a better job.

Just what this area needed! Great for kids. The few times we've been here for dinner I've enjoyed the antipasto for two as an entree. It has a little bit of everything and is MORE than enough. The pastas and sauces all seem fresh. Overall pretty good quality food and attentive and friendly service.

The sauce was excellent and just spicy enough. All things considered I would return.

Great from start to finish. Complimentary bruschetta and bread were great. Had the meatball app; delicious! Chicken and Sausage scallopini for dinner; more delicious! Good beer selection. Try the Russian River Damnation.

Excellent, decently priced lunch buffet with plenty of options. The pizza is kind of average, but the entrees and salads are excellent. They also have a fantastic desert menu. Overall a very clean place with a wonderful staff.

Ok food, definitely not great. Service was good. Don't get the saltimbocca, has no flavor, pasta was over cooked, too much sauce which tasted just bland. Food presentation was very poor, not appealing at all. This is definitely not fine dining. Would not go there again.

Very good.

I went her for lunch yesterday. I rarely order the buffet anywhere but did so here and it was delicious. Pizza, roasted veggies, ribs, chicken and much more. Nicely decorated place and staff was good. They also have a nice happy hour here with some pretty good drink and food specials.

Not impressed. Service was below par and food was bland. Probably won't return. Too many other restaurants with good food & service available.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
